Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been climbing the steps of success. With her recent release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani being loved by the audience and her much-awaited Hollywood debut Heart of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot, receiving mixed reviews, she has been making the headlines quite often. Recently, she did a makeup tutorial video for Vogue India, where she opened up about her husband Rabir Kapoor demanding her to wipe off her lipstick, which has not gone down well with the netizens.
In the video posted on the official social media handle of Vogue India, Alia was seen talking about her ‘weird’ technique of applying lipstick, where she moves her lips across the lipstick. As she explains that this technique works out for her, she reveals that whenever she and Ranbir would go out, he would ask her to wipe off her lipstick. Quoted by News18, she said, “Because one thing my husband [when he wasn’t my husband when he was my boyfriend as well] says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. It is safe to say that her statement did not go down well with the netizens as they called out the 40-year-old actor for his ‘toxic masculinity’ and ‘misogynistic’ thought process. They even lashed out at her for constantly talking about her wedding, her husband and her baby, rather than focusing on her career and choosing good scripts. One said, “Alia: Please blink if you’re in danger.” Another said, “Grow up and stop spouting about your husband with every breath you take. For the unversed, Alia is currently busy enjoying one of the best phases of her life. She tied the knot with the love of her life and longtime boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family. They announced their first pregnancy in June 2022 and welcomed their baby daughter Raha in November 2022.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s comeback movie Rani Aur Rocky Ki Prem Kahani and Heart Of Stone. She has has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her pipeline.
